Smoker's Bane

I created this piece especially for this contest. At the age of 56, smoking changed my father’s body into an aggressive self destructive monster. X-rays not only showed how badly his lungs were affected (after 40 years of smoking) but also how the lung cancer ate away at his liver and brains as well.
He died at the age of 57 leaving my mother, his children, and grandchildren behind. This happened 20 years ago and we still miss him terribly. Because of the secondhand smoke we also suffered from bronchitis and asthma. Therefore, it is important for me to express that not only the smokers are affected, but their loved ones as well.
